Welcome Brooklyn’s Garrett Oliver to Philly (and drink his beer)

Rock star brewer Garrett Oliver is coming to town on Feb. 1st, and I’m going to grill (um, I mean, “moderate”) him and a panel of industry insiders during a no-holds-barred evening of great beer talk at City Tap House, Logan Square.

Join me and panelists Lew Bryson (Seen Through a Glass) and Curt Decker (Nodding Head) as we drink Garrett’s beer and enjoy his passionate, beer-soaked conversation. No tix needed – just be there.

Yes, there will be plenty of beer. The lineup looks like this:

  • Lancelot (Sorachi Ace aged on reisling lees in bourbon barrels)
  • Galahad (Local 1 aged on cider lees in bourbon barrels)
  • Bedivere (Local 1 aged in white wine barrels with proprietary Brooklyn Brettanomyces strain)
  • Chichicapa (Belgian-style golden ale aged in mezcal barrels)
  • Caradoc (strong golden ale aged on wine lees in bourbon barrels for two years)
  • Bel Air (dry-hopped kettle sour)
  • Saison Kitaya (saison aged on sake lees in bourbon barrels)
  • Black Chocolate Stout (2002 vintage)
  • Hand & Seal, Cognac Edition 2013 (massive barleywine, aged in bourbon barrels and finished in cognac casks)
