Who’s idea was it to schedule a hops harvest on the hottest week of the year? I’m heading up to Long Island to pick buds with the crew from the Southampton Brewery on Thursday. The harvest will go directly into Phil Markowski’s wet hop brew. Should be fun and I’m hoping to learn a bit about our friend, Humulus lupulus.
Here’s hoping they’ve got plenty of cold Alt for the farmhands.
